Increase the quality of K-2 literacy teaching and learning on your campus.
On May 11th-12th, 2017, join the Teaching Trust Alumni Network for its final installment of the 2016-2017 Reaching Rigor series, Guided Reading: Building Foundations in K-2 Literacy, a must-have training for any elementary education professional working to improve early childhood literacy on their campus.
Team Members to Bring
Teaching Trust highly encourages engaging in the training as part of a campus team of 4-5. Ideally, we recommend bringing the following members from your campus:
- school leader
- instructional coach or dean
- 2-3 strong K-2 literacy teachers or team leads
Objectives & Agenda
On Thursday, May 11th, bring all participants from your campus team as we learn the nuts and bolts of rigorous guided reading instruction and practice planning and teaching guided reading based on the needs of students.
On Friday, May 12th, school leaders and coaches return for an intensive half-day training on the systems and routines needed to roll out effective guided reading training and support on your campus.
Registration & Costs
- Early Bird Registration (March 7-April 9): $150 per person
- Regular Registration (April 10-28 or when capacity is reached): $200 per person
